Cutting

Depending on material properties and product geometry, diamond wire cutting—or laser cutting when required—is used to produce near-net-shape blanks from glass, quartz, ceramics and other hard, brittle materials.

CNC Machining

CNC shaping corrects the dimensions of cut blanks and produces custom profiles, holes and grooves, while edge chamfering creates specified C-chamfers, radii or curved edges to remove sharp corners and protect the component.

Grinding & Lapping

Grinding and lapping remove wire marks, surface irregularities and damaged layers left by cutting and CNC machining, while reducing the component to the specified thickness and improving flatness, parallelism and TTV.

Peripheral Polishing

Peripheral polishing brightens the ground edges left by CNC shaping or chamfering and creates the specified edge radius, finish and smooth feel.

Polishing

Polishing transforms the frosted surface produced by grinding into a smooth, transparent optical finish, with single-side or double-side polishing selected according to customer requirements.

Precision Cleaning

ROC provides optical-grade precision cleaning services. Through multi-step cleaning processes adapted to different materials, ROC thoroughly removes micro-particles, polishing powder residue, organic contaminants and inorganic impurities from processed optical components.

Inspection & Metrology

In-process inspections are performed at key production stages, followed by final verification of profile dimensions, thickness, TTV, flatness, parallelism, chamfer or edge radius, and surface quality before shipment.
